About the Artist
Second generation woodworker, Heidi Kuznitz designs and builds, custom, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind functional art. Among other things, she builds small furniture, longboards, jewelry and charcuterie boards using local and exotic hardwoods. Born and raised in the eastern Sierra, Heidi crafts her wares to reflect the inspiration she finds in the mountains and forests she calls home. Incorporating elements of nature, and excellence in craftsmanship, Kooks Industries produces high quality products that bring art and nature to your experiences. Amputee survivor, Heidi has overcome a lot in life. She stands firm (on the leg she has left) in her passion of providing the opportunity to express and access the happiness of life through creativity, family, and woodworking.
